Senior Software Engineer - Frontend

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will be working across the entire end-user application stack, creating and maintaining new products and experiences for our customers.

• Build customer-facing banking and financial service experiences that are simple, functional, and user-friendly.
• Design and implement user interface components for web and mobile applications using React frameworks.
• Build app and UI components from prototypes and wireframes.
• Work with third-party dependencies and GraphQL APIs.
• Work with engineers across the company to build new features and products.
• Own problems end-to-end, thinking through everything from user experience, data models, scalability, operability, performance, operational costs, and ongoing metrics.
• Be responsible for full software development lifecycle - development, testing, operating in production.

Technical skills

• Background in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Development, or related quantitative field
• Experience building React Native applications that incorporate standard best principles and design aesthetics
• Strong knowledge of React fundamentals such as Virtual DOM, functional components, hooks, contexts, and lifecycle events
• Experience with modern front-end tools and building pipelines
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript / Typescript, CSS, HTML, functional programming, and front-end languages
• Knowledge of type checking, unit testing, prop types, and code debugging
• A complete dominion of web app and mobile app development lifecycle right from prototyping to deployment
• Experience working with REST / GraphQL APIs, document request models, offline storage, and third-party libraries
• Experience in UI design, responsive designs, and accessibility

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to communicate strategy

• Ability to write clean, well-documented code that follows good coding practices
• Ability to provide an in-depth evaluation of multiple technical directions and determine tradeoffs of each

• Ability to create and maintain smooth continuous integration and continuous delivery pipeline of React Native applications (Github Actions + EAS)
• Familiarity with broader UX design principles
• Experience creating web-based or native UI animations
